Personal Statement

Using the technique of Origami and Japanese "Washi" papers with calligraphy inks, I interpret my inspirations into contemporary new works. Often informing my designs is the Japanese tradition of making '1000 cranes' as a symbol to wish for happiness, good luck and peace. Each art work is infused with a specific message, indicated by its title in Japanese (translated into English). Making my artwork is my joy – since I began making Happy Birds I am very happy!
